For a few weeks, in early 2024, I felt very, very unwell indeed. NHS blood tests indicated perfect health. Impasse. I sought information on the internet, then slowly recovered …. but I was not the energetic, positive person I had been before.
Slow-forward to June 2025. Procrastination had been the order of the day for 18 months. I had stopped going to the gym regularly, walking in the woods, cleaning the house; instead I doom-scrolled on the internet and binge-watched garbage on Netflix. I just about managed to maintain my commitments outside the home; indoors, my emotions were very close to the surface and I was often tearful. I knew that the answer was exercise, sunlight, fresh air and I was always going to start a new regime …. tomorrow.
Then I remembered an NLP specialist who had impressed me with her knowledge back in 2016 when I attended a course at Fleet library. I looked on her Facebook page and read about the recent phenomenal metamorphosis of one of her clients from being reduced to an invalid state by an autoimmune condition to achieving boundless good health in a matter of weeks.
So I sent a message asking for help.
I thought my problem was psychological, but the advice I received was not the NLP counselling that I expected.
For a little over 4 weeks, I received daily videos from Andrea explaining, in clear, bite-sized chunks, the science behind this pathway to restored health. I found this teaching process suited me very well as it kept the importance of this lifestyle moderation very much at the forefront of my mind – no chance of my forgetting or procrastinating until our next face-to-face interview!
Additionally, I chose to document my daily progress in an email each day – I told Andrea that it made me feel accountable but that she didn’t have to read the emails! However, I always received some positive stroking in response – even if I had lapsed into old habits the previous day.
What I have learned from Andrea is not only a route to perfect health but also a protection from potential future serious illnesses such as cancer and all autoimmune conditions. A diet that initially seemed limited now looks like a cornucopia of delicious things to eat – as I was showing other customers and the cashier in Morrisons yesterday!
My month with Andrea coincided with probably the most sociable 4 weeks of my life – I have lost count of the lunches, dinners and parties I attended. And yes, because the catering industry and the rest of the population, even the NHS, have not yet caught up with this Pathway to Health, it was often difficult to negotiate the usual foods on offer. But it was well worth the effort!
I lost 11 pounds without ever feeling hungry. My knee pain has receded, though I need to exercise now to strengthen muscles after my 18 months of slothfulness.
So thank you, Andrea, for sharing your wisdom and helping me to find a way out of the doldrums and the Slough of Despond!
